About Us

we are a lighting manufacturing and distribution company providing solutions for architectural, decorative, & custom lighting fixtures. we specialize in both “minimal lighting” (you should never see the fixture) and what we call “Lighting Objects.” These are not only meant to be instruments of illumination, but are intended to complement and/or become a part of an architect’s or specifier’s design intent.

the short answer:

we can manufactuer and/or source the needed components/sub assemblies for any achitectural, decorative, and/or custom lighting application.

the long answer:

we definitely specilize in aestetic modern lighting fixtures and solutions. that, and custom design, is our cup of tea. however, as a service to our agents and specifers we will manufacturer and/our source suitable mid-grade or commodity fixture types that may be needed to complete a fixture schedule or lighting package. This is usually done in addition to the products Lighting Object Agents can provide from their lighting package. This ensures specifiers can get the style of products they require, even if some fixture types are not available in a certain agents lighting package.

let’s face it, besides the few signature pieces on a job in those special places, as long as it is close to your design intent, meets spec and code, and of decent quality … “most competitors fixtures are pretty much created equal … and it really does not matter who’s you use.” 

it then becomes a game of agents, ditributors, and contractors all shuffling those “A” fixture types to see how they can make the most money…. we offer an alternative to the shell game.

 

before starting Lighting Objects one of the founders led the sourcing efforts for a group of companies who supplied over 100 lighting oems and retail chains. we have joint-venture manufacturing agreements with prime producers thoughout europe, asia, and north america. we have a data base and relationships with over 2,000 maunfacturers of lighting components, electronics, and sub-assemblies. we have final assembly operations in the USA where our global QC standards are enforced.

If it is lighting, and your local agent can’t get it, or a close facsilile, for you … we can probably make it or get it for you.

the long answer:

all ego aside. we have been doing this for a very long time. we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of lighting sales in the usa, and for the most part know how to avoid “the ugly.” but it happens: our fault, your fault, the contractors fault, the agents fault. someone’s fault… or no ones fault…. it sometimes happens. we do not walk away – we always have your back. not sure because you have not worked with us personally before?
